Mrs. Debra Denise Misko

Debra Denise Misko, 64, passed away peacefully at home in Northport, Alabama, on February 12, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin and Eva Jo Scott; grandparents John and Laura Scott and Russell and Sue Bean.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff Misko; son John Thomas Bigham; sisters Dianne Golson (Mike) and Michelle Duckworth (Kenneth); and the “apple of her eye” granddaughter Jessie Trez Bigham. Nephews Chris Golson and Matthew Hodge and great nieces Emory Kate Golson, Ainsley Marie Hodge and Eva Rose Duncan.

Denise graduated from Tuscaloosa High School in 1975 and attended Brewer State at the Tuscaloosa campus. She was the first woman Pipefitter in the Tuscaloosa Local 372. Later she was hired at BF Goodrich working her way up to management before she retired.

She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Granny. At a young age she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior while attending South Highlands Baptist Church. Denise loved all animals but especially her dogs Lily, Zoey, Ginger and Gracie. She never met a stranger and would do anything to help others. Denise enjoyed gardening, visits to the beach, relaxing by the pool, fishing with John, shopping with her sisters, antiquing, golf, and hanging out with her childhood friend Karla Herekar.
