Missy Hildreth Gilliam was born August 2nd 1962, in Columbus, Mississippi, and left this worldly earth on Saturday, May 14th 2022 at DCH in Northport, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father J.C.Hildreth and mother Nylene Estes, brothers Frankie Brewer and Jimmy Hildreth.
She is survived by her loving husband Todd Gilliam and her two sons T.J. Gilliam and Robbie Gilliam. Her brother Sonny Brewer and sister Sandra Brewer, Brother Butch Hildreth (Becky), Wayne Hildreth, Richard Hildreth, John Hildreth (Wanda), David Hildreth (Betty) and sister Kay Bivin (Doug) and sisters-in-law Pam Gilliam, Rhonda Gilliam and brother-in-law Rodney Gilliam.
She also left behind multiple close family members and friends that she loved dearly. She spent 35 years at DCH Regional Medical Center working as a CT Technician until she retired in December 2019. She loved spending time by the pool, laying out, reading, hanging out with her friends and most importantly eating Sunday dinners with Todd, T.J. and Robbie . She never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone that truly needed it, and expected nothing in return. Though her life on this earth was short, she impacted many lives for the better and her memory will live forever.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 19th at New Hope Baptist Church in Berry, Al. Speakers will be Brad Hartsfield and Ken W. Swindle. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation.
