Steven Riddell passed away on June 17, 2018 in Ethelsville, Alabama at the age of 67. Bill was born on October 3, 1950 to Dr. Mal Shaw Riddell, Jr. and Ethel Allene Bryan of Winona, Mississippi. He graduated from Winona High School in 1968. He earned his degree in Respiratory Therapy and worked the majority of his career in Columbus, Mississippi and Montgomery, Alabama. Bill is survived by his children: Kenneth Romans (Shawnna) of Columbus, MS, Tommy Romans of Caledonia, MS, James Riddell of Mobile, AL, and Norma Leigh Perry (Chris) of Tunica, MS; his grandchildren: Bradley Romans (Alex), Eric Romans, Austin Romans, Alan Romans, Sallie Manning (Cody), LeEllen Perry, and Ethan Perry; and a great-grandson Bo Manning; his siblings: Jean Ann Riddell Anderson (Sean) of Decatur, AL, Dr. Mal Riddell III (Susan) of Grenada, MS, and John Riddell (Cheryl) of Hilton Head, SC, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; Mal Shaw Riddell, Jr. and Ethel Bryan Riddell, his wife Sheriea Chapman Riddell and his wife Martha Floyd Riddell. Bill will be remembered as a kind, generous, and caring friend to all who knew him. He was a proud member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a greeter and member of the church's security team. He was also affectionally known to children as Santa Clause. Bill was an avid gun collector and loved hunting and being outdoors. In recent years, his new-found hobby was to assist his best friend, Mike Dulaney, with fire investigations. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Columbus, MS. Visitation will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Rev. David Honeycutt will officiate the ceremony.
