Northport Funeral & Cremation Service announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. John Henry Crummie, Sr. of Tuscaloosa, AL on Friday, May 29, 2015 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Northport at 11 a.m. with Rev. Richard L. Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Oak Memorial Park. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to services at the church. A public visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 12-6 p.m. at Northport Funeral & Cremation Service Chapel. He is survived by his wife, Tobbie A. Crummie of Tuscaloosa; his daughter, Valerie (Richard) Johnson of Alpharetta, Georgia; two sons, John Crummie, Jr. of Houston, TX and Jon Dexter Crummie of Tuscaloosa; two granddaughters, Hannah and Lauryn Johnson of Alpharetta, Georgia; two grandsons, Arnold Vinci Crummie II of Mechanicsville, Virginia and John H. Crummie III of New Windsor, New York; his sister, Gail C. Washington, Esq. of Memphis, Tennessee; his brother, Reginald (Glenda) Crummie of Hoover, Alabama along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents Annie V. and Eldie Crummie, son, Arnold Vinci Crummie; sister, Sylvia C. Hughes; grandmother, Mary Edwards Graham; and aunt, Alice V. Adams.
