Mr. Donald Ray Whitley

Age 79

Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Donald Ray Whitley. Mr. Whitley passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Coker, AL.

Donald Whitley was born on July 23, 1945. He passed away on March 26,2025. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Whitley, grandson Trey Whitley, mother Estelle Whitley, father Eulie Whitley, brothers James Brown, Melvin Whitley, Euzelle Whitley and Billy Whitley. 

Survivors include brother bob Whitley (Sandra), son Scott Whitley(Tamsin), son Kenny Whitley(Nita), daughter Kim Taylor(David), grandchildren Dillon Kelly(Holley), Lacey Keeth(Matt), Casey Sansom(Cliff), Dawson Kelly and Tristan Taylor. Great grandchildren, Whitleigh Keeth, Addie Blake Sansom, Treyton Sansom, Emma Kelly and Colt Kelly. 

Don was a loving soul who never met a stranger. He owned Don's Barber Shop and was a barbed for over 50 years. He loved all his loyal customers and put all of his heart into that business. He retired for health reasons and to care for the love of his life for over 60 years, Mildred. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be truly missed. 

Services for Don and Mildred will be held at Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 2pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

They will both be laid to rest at Coker Cemetery. 

Pallbearers are Dillon Kelly, Dawson Kelly, Cliff Sansom, Matt Keeth, Tristan Taylor and Darron Hamner.
